The way, the world media both Indian and the Western has reacted after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, has demonstrated that the facts are the most unimportant elements of the so-called democratic media. Fantasy and fabrications are in the heart of the Western media which can turn black into white if it wants. Indian media went to the extreme. The editorial in the Hindustan Times said, “Lights went Out”. That is what Jawarharlal Nehru said after the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Thus, Benazir Bhutto, who can be termed in the same league as Pol Pot or Edi Amin has turned into the “Goddess of Democracy” and the “Daughter of the East”.
Benazir Bhutto has helped Mujahideens to occupy Afghanistan and destroy cities after cities, killing millions and ultimately turn it into a province of Pakistan. Ben Laden was trained in Afghanistan by the Pakistani army. Ben Laden was entertained by both Mrs.Thatcher and President Reagan as the Freedom Fighter of Afghanistans. Then she has sent thousands of killers to Kashmir to mass murder the Hindus and drive all non-Muslims out of Kashmir since 1988-89. She has also created Taliban, when the Mujahidens will not negotiate with the American oil company UNIOCAL. In 1997, Clinton has sent his special assistant Robin Rafael to Kandahar to congratulate Benazir and Taliban. At the request of Clinton Benazir has sent an army of killers to former Yugoslavia to kill and rape Serbian Christians to create the Islamic states of Bosnia and Kosovo. By all means Benazir Bhutto was a mass murderer, but, she is considered as the Beacon of Democracy by both the Western and Indian journalists. Let us examine her history a little.
Benazir and Afghanistan:
Afghanistan had a revolution to establish a Republic instead of Kingdom in 1974. In 1978 there was another revolution to turn it into a socialist state. Almost immediately USA with the help of Pakistan started its campaign to destabilize Afghanistan by sending thousands of Pakistani soldiers dressed up as tribesmen to Afghanistan. In the beginning the response of the Soviet Union was to send equipments and military advisers but in October 1979 it has become clear that without direct help Afghanistan will be occupied by Pakistan. For a clear picture we need to go backward a bit.
On December 8, 1979, a meeting of the Politburo was held by Leonid Brezhnev, attended by Yuri Andropov, Andrey Gromyko, Michael Suslov and Dimitri Ustinov. They took a long time discussing the present situation in Afghanistan and around it, considered all the pros and contras of introducing the Soviet troops in the area. Andropov and Ustinov cited the reasons justifying the necessity of such step, such as: the efforts undertaken by the CIA of the USA for creating a “new Great Ottoman Empire,” which would have included the Southern republics of the USSR; the absence of a reliable air defense system in the South in the case of stationing of the American missiles in Afghanistan, threats for many vital Soviet installations in Central Asia including the space center in Baikonur, the danger that the Afghan uranium deposits could be used by Pakistan and Iraq for building nuclear weapons, establishment of opposition regimes in the Northern areas of Afghanistan and annexation of that region by Pakistan, and so on. On December 10, 1979, the Defense Minister of the USSR Ustinov summoned Chief of General Staff N. V. Ogarkov, and informed him that the Politburo had reached a preliminary decision of a temporary introduction of the Soviet troops into Afghanistan, and ordered him to prepare approximately 75 to 80 thousand people. Thus, USSR sent its army to save Afghanistan in December 1979 about 18 months after the initial Pakistani invasion of Afghanistan started in 1978.
Pakistan has invaded Afghanistan informally as it did to Kashmir many years before the Soviets came to Afghanistan. Major General Naseerullah Babar, later Interior Minister of Benazir Bhutto and the organizer of Taliban, said ,
“ In October 1973 an Afghan named Habibur Rahman Shaheed came and contacted me about setting up a resistance movement in Afghanistan with active military assistance of Pakistan. I conveyed the same to Mr Zulfiqer Ali Bhutto, who accepted my proposal in view of the changed situation in Afghanistan and asked me to organize training of Afghans. Thus we established the base of Afghan Mujahideen resistance in 1973. We gave them basic infantry weapons, some specialized training in how to conduct guerrilla warfare. It was a top secret affair and the ISI had no role. The secret was shared between Mr Bhutto, myself, Aziz Ahmad and the then Army Chief Tikka Khan. Who were the pioneers of the anti-Daud Afghan resistance? They were Ustad Rabbani, Hikmatyar, and a host of others who came to Pakistan after October 1973. Mr Bhutto laid the foundation of the Afghan resistance in 1973. He had the foresight and vision to do it. As a matter of fact we created the organizational network which was used by Zia and the USA to oppose the Soviets.” ( Remembering our Warrior—Babar the Great in Defence Journal, April 2001).
Pakistans aim was either to take over Afghanistan or to control it through its agents. However, a different conspiracy was organized by USA. The former director of the CIA, Robert Gates, stated in his memoirs [From the Shadows], that American intelligence services began to aid the Mujahideen in Afghanistan 6 months before the Soviet intervention. Zbigniew Brzezinski, President Jimmy Carters National Security Adviser said (in Le Nouvel Observateur of France, Jan 15-21, 1998) that “Indeed, it was July 3, 1979 that President Carter signed the first directive for secret aid to the opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul. That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap. The day that the Soviets officially crossed the border, I wrote to President Carter: We now have the opportunity of giving to the USSR its Vietnam war.”
Both Carter and Reagan administration helped Pakistan to carry on aggression against Afghanistan in the name of resiting the Soviets. Until 1992 most part of Afghanistan was intact, all cities were standing still. However, the occupation of Afghanistan by Muzzahideens raised by Pakistan and equipped by USA destroyed everything in Afghanistan. The leader of the Muzzahideen was Gulbuddin Hikmatyer, a close friend of both Zulfiqer Ali and Benazir Bhutto. Muzzahideens could not agree with the business deals with the American company UNOCAL. Then Pakistan at the request of President Clinton raised the Taliban. Taliban took over Afghanistan easily as the Pakistani soldiers just changed their colours. Afghanistan became a province of Pakistan since then until 2001, when USA invaded Afghanistan and driven out Taliban only from the north of the country. Taliban still exists in the south Afghanistan and is receiving all help from Pakistan. Some of the $10 Billion Dollars of aid Pakistan has received from USA since 9/11 is now being diverted to Taliban by Pakistan.
Benazir and Taliban
If Bhutto was so opposed to Osama Bin Laden and terrorism, why then did she work with a retired military general as her Interior Minister, Naseerullah Babar to create the Taliban?
Major General Naseerullah Babar was a leader of the Jamiat-e-Ulema-i-Islami which was a political party that controlled the Madrasahs (religious schools) where the Talibs (students) were recruited to create the Taliban. As Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto worked very hard to recruit Jamiat-e-Ulema-i-Islamis support for her coalition Government which coincided with the mayhem and chaos in Afghanistan after the Russians had left. During the 1965 war with India, Babar was awarded Sitara-e-Jurat. In the 1971 war, he commanded an artillery brigade. Then he was appointed Governor of NWFP because of his close association with Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He contested the 1977 election on a Pakistan Peoples Party ticket from his home district of Nowshera. In 1988 he became the Special Assistant to Benazir Bhutto to mobilize the Muzzahideens to capture and destroy both Afghanistan and India.
In Bebars own words, “All my life thence I have not been able to reconcile with the feigned Indian democracy and been involved in four wars against India, viz; 1948 (Kashmir); 1965 Rann of Kutch, 1965 (Indo-Pak War), 1971 (Indo-Pak War). In three of these I found myself in Kashmir! I took part in the 1947–48 Kashmir War as commander of a Tribal Lashkar in Jul/Aug 1948 in the Poonch Sector. ” ( in Remembering our Warrior—Babar the Great in Defence Journal, Pakistan, April 2001)
The Taliban took power in Kabul in September 1996. It was during Bhuttos rule that the Taliban gained prominence in Afghanistan. U.S. Department of State Memorandum ( Developments in Afghanistan, December 5, 1994, Source: National Security Archive) to the State Departments Afghanistan Desk shows concern over the Government of Pakistans Inter-Services Intelligence Directorates (ISI) involvement in the Talibans takeover of Kandahar. At the bottom of the memo, a handwritten note states, This AM Ive heard that General Babar is running this Taliban op. General Nasrullah Babar was then the Pakistani Interior Minister under Benazir.
In October, 1994, the Afghan Muzzahideen leader Hekmatyer, a close friend of both Benazir and her father, were shocked by the appearance of an armed, organized, and trained army. In just a few months, the Taliban took one third of Afghanistan. Observers were also surprised when the American ambassador in Islamabad, along with Pakistani Interior Minister Naseerullah Kahn Babar, toured the new Taliban communities in Pakistan. Taliban followers were trained at schools run by the Muslim Scholats Society, which counts Babar as a sponsor.
By February, 1995, the Taliban practically reached the gates of Kabul and swept Hekmatyar from his base 10 miles south of the capital, having already controlled a large number of provinces, often meeting no significant resistance. Wherever it prevailed, the Taliban imposed Sharia, Islamic law.
In September, 1995, the American oil company Unocal signed a huge deal with Turkmenistan to construct a gas pipeline that would bypass Iran by running through Afghanistan. This project is expected to move 20 billion cubic meters of gas annually for a period of 30 years. Observers recall that a Unocal consultant said in October, 1994, that the Taliban are the liberators of Afghanistan. This statement became reality two years later. Americans have described the Taliban as probably opposing Western modernism, but not against the West itself. Robin Rafael, the Special Representative of President Clinton went to Kandahar to congratulate the Taliban in 1997, when it has occupied Kabul.
A December 1997 Department of State cable mentioned a meeting between Taliban officials in the US as part of a Unocal delegation and Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Karl Inderfurth ( Department of State, Cable, Afghanistan: Meeting with the Taliban, December 11, 1997). U.S. Consulate (Peshawar), Cable ( Afghanistan: A Report of Pakistani Military Assistance to the Taliban, March 24, 1998), relays an incident of Pakistani military assistance to the Taliban. The incident involved 25 large Mercedes Benz trucks full of Pakistani fighters being delivered to Kabul airport for transport to Kunduz in order to assist the Taliban. This was the tip if the iceberg.
Defense Intelligence Agency, Cable (IIR [Excised]/Veteran Afghanistan Travelers Analysis of Al Qaeda and Taliban Military, Political and Cultural Landscape and its Weaknesses, October 2, 2001; Source: National Security Archive) details recent events in Afghanistan and the role of Pakistan in supporting the Taliban movement. It describes how Pakistan preferred to groom incompetent commanders such as Gulbuddin Hekmatyar for leadership positions in Afghanistan who would then be reliant upon Pakistan. The failure of supporting Hekmatyar, which effectively saw the Lebanonization of Afghanistan, caused the Pakistanis to introduce the Taliban. The account notes that Pakistan has lost every war it has ever fought. The cable also notes that it must be a deeply troubling period for General (Musharraf) in Pakistan, who is asked to help hunt down the culprits that he helped to establish.
U.S. Embassy (Islamabad), Cable ( Ambassador Meets Taliban: We are the People, November 12, 1996, Source: National Security Archive) describes a meeting between U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Thomas W. Simons Jr. and the Talibans Acting Foreign Minister, Mullah Ghaus, on 11 November 1996. Their discussions of the Afghan conflict began with Mullah Ghaus stating that Thanks to God and help from its friends -including the United States-the Afghan resistance was able to defeat the Soviet Union and its allies. Ghaus continued by stating that peace that was to occur after the removal of the Soviets never arrived because of a conspiracy of the communists, selfishness of resistance leaders, and foreign interference, blaming interference by Russia, Iran, and India in the affairs of Afghanistan as the main cause of the ongoing war.
U.S. Embassy (Islamabad) Cable ( Bad News on Pak Afghan Policy: GOP Support for the Taliban Appears to be Getting Stronger,) on July 1, 1998 shows Pakistans growing support for the Taliban during the late 1990s. According to this cable the Pakistani government agreed to provide the Taliban millions of rupees in financial support. The money, which was to be delivered at a rate of 50 million rupees (approximately one million dollars) a month, was earmarked to pay the salaries of Taliban officials and commanders.
U.S. Embassy (Islamabad) Cable( Afghanistan: [Excised] Criticizes GOPs Afghan Policy; Says It Is Letting Policy Drift, ) on June 16, 1998 deals with a discussion in the Embassy with the former Pakistani Interior Minister Nasrullah Babar. Babar discussed the ISIs involvement in Afghanistan, indicating that he personally supported the deployment of ISI officers operating out of the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, and from Herat, Kandahar, and the Jalalabad Consulates.
Thus, it was Pakistan that has acted as the agent of USA since 1978 to destroy Afghanistan. Benazir Bhutto played a significant role to assist the Muzzahideens and to create the Taliban to send Afghanistan to the stone age.
Benazir and Kashmir:
Pakistan army dressed up as Pathan tribesmen invaded the state of Jammu & Kashmir on October 20, 1947 and occupied some parts of Kashmir along with Baltistan, Skardhu, Gilgit and Hunza, now known as Northern Area of Pakistan, where very few Muslims used to stay in 1947. Today there is no non-Muslim in Pakistan- held Kashmir or in the Northern Area. Benazir Bhuttos Minister for Interior Nasurullah Babar, who later has organized both the Muzzahedins and the Taliban, took very active part in that invasion of Kashmir.
There is no official statistics regarding the number of refugees from Kashmir. The Kashmir Information Networks gives the figure of 400,000 of non-Muslim refugees in camps in Jammu and Delhi. Another 200,000 of refugees had so far left the camps and made their own arrangement. According to these websites, since 1946 about 1,100,000 of non-Muslims from Kashmir were evicted as a result of “Quit Kashmir” movement of Sheikh Abdullah in both 1931 and 1946. In addition there were about 1,900,000 non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan who came to J&K in 1947 but even today they cannot get the citizenship of the J&K because of the opposition of both Sheikh Farouk Abdullah and Mufti Mahmud. There is official account of how many Hindu, Sikh or Buddhists were killed in Kashmir recently but the total number of death in Jammu & Kashmir now has reached about 50,000 since 1989; most of them were Hindus. Hindus used to be about 30 percent in 1947 in Kashmir, almost none exist there today.
In 1987, the Soviet Union has declared its intension to leave Afghanistan as soon as possible as the situation was then stabilized according to Gorbachev. Agitations in Kashmir have started also in 1987. In 1989, the last soldier of the Soviet Union had left Afghanistan. A full-scale attack on the non-Muslims of Kashmir also had started in 1989. In 1992 President Clinton’s special assistant to South Asia Robin Rafael had declared that USA does not recognize J&K as a part of India.
As you know, due to our preoccupation in Afghanistan, in the service of Islam, I have not been able to put these plans before you earlier. Let there be no mistake, however, that our aim remains quite clear and firm and that is the liberation of the Kashmir Valley - our Muslim Kashmiri brothers cannot be allowed to stay with India for any length of time, now. We whip up anti-Indian feelings amongst the students and peasants, preferably on some religious issues, so that we can enlist their active support for rioting and anti-government demonstrations. By the grace of God, we have managed to accumulate large stocks of modern arms and ammunition from US consignments intended for Afghan Mujahideen. This will help our Kashmiri brethren achieve their goals.”
That goal was already achieved by driving out nearly all non-Muslims from Kashmir. Benazir Bhutoo was the main architect of that mass murder of the non-Muslims in Kashmir.
Benazir and Yugoslavia:
The crisis in Yugoslavia and its eventual destruction was caused by Germany when it had recognized individual provinces of Yugoslavia as sovereign nations and started calling the Yugoslav government as the Serbian government and the Yugoslav army as the occupation army in Bosnia and Croatia. Later the NATO member countries also recognized these former provinces of Yugoslavia. Encouraged by the West The Croats and Bosnian Muslims, helped by a large contingent of Islamic terrorists of many nationalities trained by Pakistan, started large scale massacre and mass expulsion of Serbs from Croatia and Bosnia. Yugoslav army retaliated, and in response NATO started bombing Yugoslavia into submission. The breakup of Yugoslavia has caused mass murder of thousands in which Pakistan, along with Iran, Malaysia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia played major role to support Bosnian Muslim state and to destroy Yugoslavia through their campaign of terror. Benazir Bhutto was the leading light of these terrorists.
Michael Meacher , former Minister of the Blair administration in Britain wrote in The Guardian on September 10, 2005 an analysis regarding the involvement of Pakistan as an agent of both USA and UK to create mass murder in former Yugoslavia. During the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan in the 1980s, the US funded large numbers of Jihadis through Pakistans secret intelligence service, the ISI. Later the US wanted to raise another Jihadi corps, again using proxies, to help Bosnian Muslims fight to weaken the Serb governments hold on Yugoslavia. Those they turned to included Pakistanis in Britain. According to a recent report by the Delhi-based Observer Research Foundation, a contingent was also sent by the Pakistani government, then led by Benazir Bhutto, at the request of the Clinton administration. This contingent was formed from the Harkat-ul- Ansar (HUA) terrorist group and trained by the ISI of Pakistan. The report estimates that about 200 Pakistani Muslims living in the UK went to Pakistan, trained in HUA camps and joined the HUAs contingent in Bosnia.
Most significantly, this was with the full knowledge and complicity of the British and American intelligence agencies. As the 2002 Dutch government report on Bosnia makes it clear, the US provided a green light to groups on the state department list of terrorist organizations, including the Lebanese-based Hizbullah, to operate in Bosnia - an episode that calls into question the credibility of the subsequent war on terror. For nearly a decade the US helped Islamist insurgents linked to Chechnya, Iran and Saudi Arabia destabilize the former Yugoslavia. The insurgents were also allowed to move further east to Kosovo. By the end of the fighting in Bosnia there were tens of thousands of Islamist insurgents in Bosnia, Croatia, Georgia, Chechnya and Kosovo; many then moved west to Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Pakistan delivered equipment, as did the Sultan of Brunei, who paid for anti-tank missiles from Malaysia. In January 1993 already, a Pakistani vessel with ten containers of arms, which were destined for the Bosnia, was intercepted in the Adriatic Sea [Wapens moslims onderschept (Muslim arms intercepted), Trouw, 21/01/93]. Pakistan, along with Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Malaysia and the U.S definitely defied the United Nations ban on supply of arms to the Bosnian Muslims. Sophisticated anti-tank guided missiles were air lifted by the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI, to help Bosnians fight the Serbs, an ex-ISI Chief Lt. General (Retd) Javed Nasir has officially admitted in a written petition submitted before a court in Lahore [Ex-ISI Chief Reveals Secret Missile Shipments to Bosnia defying UN Embargo, in: South Asia Tribune Publications, Issue No 22, Dec 23-29, 2002]. A foundation that was affiliated to the Saudi Royal family also provided millions of dollars in arms assistance [The Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Janes Intelligence Review, February 1993, pp. 63-65.]. Moreover, Malaysia attempted to sidestep the embargo via merchant shipping and the Malaysian UNPROFOR soldiers that were stationed in Bosnia[John Pomfret, US Allies Fed Pipeline Of Covert Arms in Bosnia, The Washington Post, 12/05/96 and Johan Peleman, Wapenhandel naar Bosnië-Herzegovina, Arms trade to Bosnia-Hercegovina, Noord-Zuid Cahier, No. 22(3), September 1997, pp. 88-89.].
All of these were direct supplies to Bosnia. Turkey, a very close ally of Pakistan, proved to be the most important supplier of arms to Bosnia. Turkey had been closely involved in the secret arms supplies to Bosnia for some time. As early as 1992 Iran had opened a smuggling route to Bosnia with the assistance of Turkey. Bosnian government officials acknowledged that in 1993 a Turkish pipeline also existed, through which the above-mentioned arms from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Brunei and Pakistan were smuggled. During a visit to Sarajevo of the later Prime Minister of Turkey, Tansu Ciller, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, both publicly called for a lifting of the arms embargo.
The 78-day bombing of Yugoslavia in the spring of 1999, directed by the US general Wesley Clark, was said to be stopping an alleged genocide by the Serbs in Kosovo. The US goal was to assist the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). Yet the year before, the US state department had branded the KLA a terrorist organization, financing its operations from the heroin trade and funds from Islamic countries and individuals, including Osama bin Laden. As James Bissett, the former Canadian ambassador to Yugoslavia, has subsequently reported: This did not stop the US from arming and training KLA members in Albania and sending them back into Kosovo to assassinate Serbian mayors, ambush Serbian policemen and intimidate hesitant Kosovo Albanians.
Despite a UN arms embargo, and with the support of the US, arms, ammunition and thousands of fighters from Pakistan and Afghanistan were smuggled into Bosnia to help the Muslims .Bin Laden and his network were also active in Kosovo, and KLA members trained in his camps in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Albania. Through much of the 1990s, US support for Islamic militants in former Yugoslavia was backed up by covert US airdrops of arms, especially at Tuzla in northern Bosnia. Professional Resources Inc, a private paramilitary firm based in Virginia, planned the bloody Croatian liberation of the Serb-held Krajina enclave, which resulted in the ethnic cleansing of 200,000 Serbs by a combined Muslim army; Pakistanis were the major component of that killers.
The Clinton administration followed up by providing strong support to the KLA, even though it was known that the KLA supported the Muslim Mujahideen. Clintons Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had the KLA removed from the State Department list of terrorists. KLA also received support from Pakistan, Iran and Usama bin Laden, along with Islamic holy warriors who were jihad veterans from Bosnia, Chechnya and Afghanistan, trained by Pakistan Army.
Chechen sources claim that U.S. intelligence also aided them in their opposition to Russia. The United States worked closely with Pakistans predominantly Sunni Inter-Services Intelligence organization. Through ISI, the United States recruited Sunni Mujahideen by staging them in Chechnya to fight in Bosnia and later in Kosovo. U.S. support for the Muslims in Bosnia also came from the person who was the head of the CIA, General Michael V. Hayden, who had used his intelligence unit to allow so-called black flights of arms to Muslim forces during the Bosnian campaign in 1995. [“KLA support gives Tehran foothold in Europe” by F. Michael Maloof, 25 September 2006, in American Council for Kosovo]. Michael Meloof was a former member of the Pentagons Policy Counter-terrorism Evaluation Group after 9/11.
During an interview on Fox TV in the summer 2006, the former US federal prosecutor John Loftus reported that British intelligence had used the Al-Muhajiroun group in London to recruit Islamist militants with British passports for the war against the Serbs in Kosovo. Since July 2006 Scotland Yard has been interested in an alleged member of al-Muhajiroun, Haroon Rashid Aswat, who some sources have suggested could have been behind the London bombings. According to Loftus, Aswat was detained in Pakistan after leaving Britain, but was released after 24 hours. He was subsequently returned to Britain from Zambia, but has been detained solely for extradition to the US, not for questioning about the London bombings. Loftus claimed that Aswat is a British-backed double agent, pursued by the police but protected by MI6. One British Muslim of Pakistani origin radicalized by the civil war in Yugoslavia was LSE( London School of Economics)-educated Omar Saeed Sheikh. Omar Sheikh, at the behest of General Mahmood Ahmed, head of the ISI, wired $100,000 to Mohammed Atta, the leading 9/11 hijacker, before the New York attacks [as confirmed by Dennis Lormel, director of FBIs financial crimes unit].
Conclusion:
Benazir Bhuttos crimes are not unknown. There is a family tradition in it. Her father Zulfiqer Ali Bhutto has instigated the killings of more than 3 million people in East Pakistan in 1970-71. He has started the terrorist groups to destabilize Afghanistan, which his daughter has enhanced, to take over Afghanistan and destroy it altogether. He also has initiated the Nuclear Weapons Programme for Pakistan and her daughter has supplied these to a number of countries. He has instigated Ayub Khan to invade Kashmir in 1965 and his daughter has send Jehadis in 1989 to exterminate all non-Muslims in Kashmir.
Benazirs husband Asif Ali Zardari is seen as the villain who tarnished Benazirs image through corruption, but Benazir was the chief beneficiary of that gigantic loot. Zardari, a jaigirdar or landlord used his traditional violent methods to subdue his opponents and used the government power of his wife to extract benefits through his various corrupt, and often violent deals. He was alleged to be involved in the killing of Murtaza Bhutto, Benazirs own brother. Asif Zardari had even maintained private jails where he tortured his opponents. This all happened while Benazir Bhuttos democratically elected government was in power. It is a matter of great surprise that both the Western and Indian journalists have now a collective loss of memory so much so that, just like the Indian diplomats in the Simla conference in 1972, they are mesmerized by the charm of Benazir even after her assassination.
